About a year ago, I came across the ocean
With a few of my friends, not really knowing
What it means to hard. What it means to be tired
What it means to be scared.
What it takes to get hard.

A thousand miles, in the back of a car
Afraid for my life from a roadside bomb
And every market square, I took a couple of shells
And then I cut ‘em down with my 50 cal
I killed 30 men with my machine gun
Yeah I’m pretty good
I can hit them when they’re running, running

I been six hours, in the back of a mud wall
Under fire from an enemy bunker
Yeah I stopped a convoy of troops and supplies
With plastic explosives I took them by surprise
Now there are no survivors when I am on the scene
Cause I have nine lives
And I only used three

Got to fire maneuver. You got to use your eyes
We have to stick together if you want to stay alive
Got to kill with no mercy
Choose your targets well
Take the enemy soldiers
