Transmission bleed creeps through every measure of this one—started as a mistake when The Cipher's amp picked up fragments from those new monitoring stations near the docks. Three notes, repeating. We kept it running.

The tremolo guitar cuts like searchlights across water, never lingering long enough in one place to get caught. Beneath it, the organ breathes with delayed response—notes arriving always a half-beat later than expected, as if traveling through something thicker than air. The Witness's sax phrases deliberately circle back on themselves, leaving traces that never completely fade.

We recorded this during the rolling blackouts, timing the crescendos between power surges. That urgency wasn't manufactured; you're hearing genuine tension in the room as we pushed against the night's limitations. The Minder's brushwork grows increasingly insistent as the track progresses—listen closely to how the accents shift forward unexpectedly in the bridge, the rhythm suddenly restless.

Musically, this marks our first deliberate resistance against Lammock's suffocating patterns. The synth undercurrents (barely audible until the third cycle) are actually processed recordings of electrical interference from the street outside. The city speaks in code now; we're learning to speak back.

Nothing resolves here. Nothing should. This is music for corners where strangers exchange glances that last too long, for surveillance cameras that briefly flicker out, for finding the gaps between the signal and the noise where something human might survive.
