Jupiter Test from 2021 (Shaylee) by coen jean

I made this song after having my most euphoric dream ever.

The dream opened in the very late twilight with a moonless purple and black sky. Dark green patches of grass, illuminated by simple flourescent lamps along concrete pathways covered by tin shadings. Various large buildings that represented classrooms, random ass trees and bushes, a couple of big sheds and seating areas. I was walking through the culmination of every school that I had seen, exploring as much as I could.

I wandered through the darkness and the lightness of different areas until I came across a massive shed that I know as the MPS (Multi-Purpose Shelter). I couldn't access the inside; but I knew why. Inside this shed was a dark prescence, maybe a manifestation of all of my bad thoughts, I saw it in my minds eye as a pitch black feminine figure standing and meditating in place. I acknowledged its presence and continued walking.

I came across a particularly cromulent seating area made of concrete that was shaped like a fingernail thin crescent moon. Surrounded by bushes and trees, they were small enough not to cover any of the horizon, there was grass surrounding the seats too. I knew this was the place to be, so I took a seat and noticed the stars through the bushes, twinkling blue through the leaves. despite buildings and Earth around me I could see every star in the sky through the bushes.

As I admired my surroundings I felt this feeling that I hadn't met yet, as if a beginning was impending. without even thinking or noticing, I started communicating with my friends and family who were now around me sitting on the moon shape, talking shit and having a good time having convos amongst ourselves and all together. I felt the prescence of my friend Hayley, who I did not know at this time.

I reached my hand up into the sky, as did everyone around me. and I focussed on a star, not only was I imagining moving it, it was moving at my will. every star in the sky was suddenly in a dance swirling randomly in play, all controlled by a different friend. These stars ambled towards eachother, without even a thought, and they became a massive fucking sphere, rotating, so bright so bright, with more spheres of stars inside of it. every layer rotating at a different speed and direction, with purpose and aim, as if were an atom. Total happiness and connectedness between friends. This was our playtime, a time to show our true colours.

As moments slid gracefully into eachother this feeling had not subsided, the beginning had not yet begun and the continually rising excitement and euphoria held us in our intuition. We all sat back with totality all in a state of bliss and admired our work; completely ready for what we knew was coming. A test was about to take place. so we each found a comfy spot to splotch ourselves down on.

Each of us focussed on whatever was in our direct view of our eyes and the most flourescent neon green and red, smoothly shaped rectangle tablet appeared in front of each our eyes. It was like some futuristic iPad. The name of this test ruminated in my mind as The Jupiter Test, I felt utterly comfortable when faced with this test. The first question featured a half-full cup of water on the left side of the screen, I could not read what the question said but I was so happy just to see the question, and did not even consider that I didn't understand it. I woke up unintentionally before I could answer, but I think the only answer I needed was the dream itself.

This euphoria was the most intense euphoria I have ever felt, and once I gained my senses I hopped onto my computer, tuned my guitar to a most cromulent tuning and started playing this lovely song.


To me the dream represents graduating in my life, making it through a life stage and coming out the otherside even brighter than I was before. I was not much into astrology when I witnessed this dream, but I knew that the dream represented growth, which is exactly what Jupiter represents in astrology. Jupiter has always been my favourite planet too. So that's cute. Love that. Thank you very much for reading.
