Weaving in _ by cokiyu

Cokiyu's first instrumental album, "Weaving in _", features six tracks, including previously unreleased songs, created for the fashion show of Waseda University’s 'Seni Kenkyu Kai', the oldest fashion circle in Japan, founded in 1949 (the show held in December 2024). Throughout the album, the music flows seamlessly from the opening to the ending, culminating in the finale. The compositions, which incorporate organic sounds such as field recordings, the ringing of bells, and the noise of music boxes, as well as piano and electronic elements, gently flow like a view from a train/car window, enveloping the listener in a soothing atmosphere with a comforting ambient sound.

cokiyuにとって初となるインストアルバム『Weaving in _』は、1949年創立の日本最古のファッションサークル「早稲田大学繊維研究会」のファッションショー（2024年12月開催）のために制作された楽曲に未発表曲を追加した6曲を収録。アルバム全体を通し、ショーと同様オープニングからエンディング、フィナーレまでシームレスに展開。フィールドレコーディングされた素材や鈴の音、オルゴールのノイズなどの有機的なサウンド、ピアノそして電子音で構成された楽曲は、車窓から眺める景色のように穏やかに流れ、心地よいアンビエンスでリスナーを包み込んでいく。
