COLMAN JONES is a Canadian composer and musician who has been recording and performing from an early age. As a 7-year-old, he was writing and singing songs for his young campmates at Toronto’s Bayview Glen summer day camp, which is where he first met RE-VO - who agreed to become his manager. Although Colman’s career didn’t immediately take off, the two met up again a decade later in high school, as fate would have it, and played together in various rock bands. After graduating, the pair joined forces with RE-VO’s brother on a country music trio, as well as performing and recording with The Heat, winners of Toronto radio station Q107's Homegrown Contest. They later formed their own top-40 duo, touring extensively throughout Ontario and Quebec.
Colman has also performed with a wide array of other artists - including Toronto bands 241-2121, NRG, Holy Smoke, The Roach Motel, and the Garth Douglas Band - along with accompanying female vocalists - including Marie-Lynn Hammond, Gwyneth Baillie, Gayle Manley, and Mary-Jo Maur - and has appeared extensively as solo pianist, in both Canada and Europe. In addition, he has scored several of the many radio and television documentaries he produced for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Canada's national public broadcaster, where he worked in various roles for nearly 40 years. He continues to create music, images and video in his home-based recording studio outside the city.
RE-VO is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and vocal impressionist with forty years of experience all over North America. He is also a producer and engineer who worked with Shania Twain and other Canadian music stars. In 1981, he was bassist for The Heat, a band that won Toronto's Q107 Homegrown Contest. In 1994, he received an M.A. from the University of Toronto, and in 1999, received his Ph.D. In 1997, RE-VO and his partner Lina completed "Casanova," an opera about the Venetian adventurer. In 2004, they released Bald Eagle, a C&W album of eighteen compositions. In 2007, RE-VO and Robert Davis (Up the Line) won third prize in the Toronto Blues Society's Blues Talent Search Competition. RE-VO has released two albums of progressive rock, Dreamland (2007) and XII (2009), with virtuoso Paul Edward Royes (Hellfield) playing lead guitar. In 2021, Dave Carruthers and RE-VO (Sacred Machines) released two new albums.
C.C. WHITE is a Grammy winning/nominated vocalist has worked with many iconic artists, including Two Steps from Hell and on Nick Phoenix's solo album King of One. She has also released her own album, entitled This is Soul Kirtan! and is the star vocalist of EastWest's vocal sample library by Nick Phoenix entitled Voices of Soul, which is featured on this album.
