Lyrics
Sending all units to Shakespeare Avenue
A man has died on Shakespeare Avenue to the hands of Tybalt Capulet
I repeat sending all units to Shakespeare Avenue
On a night like this not so long ago,
A young and tragic ol' soul named Romeo
Was working the nightshift down at the Village Bell
Owned by the mademoiselle named Juliet
Ms. Lady Capulet
That Romeo saw once and could not forget
But oh that Juliet
She had different plans
Ones to betray her family and join a different clan
The one with Romeo, Oh that Romeo
A gullible boy, born with a broken heart and soul
So he would give it all, to fix it if he could.
But just because you can fix it doesn't mean that it makes it good.
On the same night there was a different boy,
Working behind the counter, only just employed
His name Mercutio, Romeo's greatest friend,
The one he could trust until the very end
And that he did, oh he begged of him
"Please cover me for just a couple minutes"
And so he agreed, to end the beggars plead
And romeo ran off into the night
The rain began, followed by the thunder
Down Shakespeare Avenue the lone man would wander
Heading straight to the place where he thought he would be
Trying to find Romeo to bring him down to his knees
To make him beg and make him pay, to make him wish to run away
To maybe die, or maybe cry, bring a throat to his blade.
But when he reached the door, the floor was hit by his gaping jaw
It wasn't Romeo sweeping the booze stained floor,
It was his best friend, the one and only Mercutio
A boy born with a broken heart and innocent soul,
But Tybalt came in angered clenched with his fist
And he pulled out his blade, but he couldn't resist.
Where's Romeo? I don't know.
Where's Romeo? I don't know.
Where's Romeo? I don't know.
Where's Romeo? I don't know.
