The past dozen years of Countercurrent have taught us the value of appreciating the connectedness in the music we play. This album is a cohesive moment of our original tunes and musical ideas; we encourage you to listen to it in its entirety, uninterrupted.

11: Six Workers Dead in Illinois (Alex Sturbaum)
In December of 2021, a tornado destroyed an Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, IL, and six employees died. The company’s refusal to let their workers seek safety during a deadly storm, and their callous response afterwards, deserved a song in remembrance.

There were snakeskins and turtle shells on the walls.
