Original Notes By Candy: Studio welcomes the second instalment of four in the Cousin Silas
"Orphans" album series.
Motivated in pulling together his discography, Silas thought to bring disparate tracks from various compilations and other projects into four volumes of Orphans collections.These tracks come from albums that have been released over the last decade or two. All of them will be remastered (courtesy of Glenn Sogge), and each album will feature a 'bonus' track. These bonus tracks are shorter reworkings of existing long form 'drones".
Volume two, like one, is a mixed bag. It has a very powerful and poignant beginning in "Inside The Enclosure (The Creature Dreams)", an outstanding piece of music.The powerful music continues throughout and we get to enjoy more than an ample share of the distinctive and expressive Silas guitar. Music and sound of this quality just begs for more and I for one can't wait to hear volumes three and four!
All in all there are ten excellent tracks in volume two, seventy seven minutes of musical reverie.
