Lost & Found by Coyote Hoods

Often called "the darlings of Salt Lake" the Coyote Hoods spent the majority of their time writing songs and playing shows, with a vast cast of players, criminals and miscreants such as David Payne on Piano and Fender Rhodes of the Red Bennies, Mike Torretta on Drums, Jason Elliot on Drums, Terrence Warburton on Drums and Rafael Martinez of the band "Black Cobra" also on drums. ....quite the Spinal Tap cast of drummers to say the least.

This album is a collection of live performance and unreleased recordings and demos of the band, Coyote Hoods. For the most part, these recordings were meant as exploration and for listening back to the actual writing process. Coyote Hoods was formed in late 2002, by Scott Bentley Selfridge. This album contains some of the early works and demos that Scott made as he was trying define the bands sound. Songs like Brass Knuckles, Perfect Day, Runt and Dirty Sheets speak to a loud, aggressive and bombastic stance, which they later departed from as the years progressed. (These songs are labeled as "Original 4-Track Cassette Demo) Instead, they eventually settled on sounding pretty, invitingly quiet and often sad/solan, while still remaining faithful to the lo-fi and capturing the love performance. Often times playing shows where they proved to be too quiet to hear and ever elusive, never releasing a record and leaving fans wanting more, until now.
