it’s all not certain that we won’t be replaced

all the people that they like to forget
you’ve been rid hard and put away wet
regular people never catch a break

a regular person is just below a cop
all the worst people rise to the top
and above it reigning is a crazy god

abuse of power is never a surprise
and i feel power when i look in your eyes
one person can’t help you it takes a town

they’ll build their floating cities while we boil away on the ground
and they’ll only come back down again when we’re all not around

they don’t need your toiling hands
to feed them anymore
now they’ve got their good machines
they don’t need you anymore
