TRモードのED曲になります。
TRモードだけで一つの作品として完成させるためにはどうしてもED曲は外したくなかった。
当時の作業量ではもう限界近くて、音を抜いたり大人しくさせる程度しかできなかったのですが、ゲーマーとして「そういうのがいいんだよ」みたいな感覚も確かにあって。
ここまで聞いてきた曲が寂しく変化することで、一つの終わりを感じさせる……そんな演出に心惹かれるものがあり、私なりに表現してみました。
曲名も「One in the Shell」から中身が抜き取られ、残ったのは空っぽの殻。そんな意味を込めて。
手抜きに思われるかもしれませんが、これで良かったと自分としては割と納得してこの形になっています。

そんな急造品をアレンジによってしっかり一つの曲として完成させてもらいました……！
Cres.さんには頭が上がりません……。

I received a comment from him, which is reproduced below.

This is the ending theme for TR Mode.
In order for TR Mode to stand as a complete work on its own, I felt that an ending theme was absolutely essential.

At the time, I was already close to my limits in terms of workload, so all I could really do was strip sounds away and make the music more subdued.
Still, as a gamer, there was also that feeling of “this is exactly how it should be.”

By letting the music you’ve been hearing throughout the mode transform into something lonelier, it creates a sense of finality—
that kind of presentation really resonated with me, and I tried to express it in my own way.

The title reflects that idea as well: with “One in the Shell,” the core has been removed, leaving behind nothing but an empty shell.
It might come across as lazy to some, but personally, I was fairly satisfied with this being the right form for it to take.

And then, through the arrangement, this hastily made piece was properly shaped into a complete song…!
I really can’t thank Cres. enough—I owe them big time.
