Visionary alternative rock ensemble, Crones, proudly unveils their latest dispatch, "Human Error," slated for release on September 13, 2024. Alongside the pre-order, Crones unveils the album's inaugural single and music video, "Arsenic." The recording sessions for "Human Error" were helmed by Connor Pritchard and the album was mixed and mastered by the legendary Cory Hanson, renowned for his ethereal work with garage and psychedelic luminaries Wand, Ty Segall, and Meatbodies.
"Human Error" transcends the ordinary, presenting a sonic tapestry woven with an array of influences and thematic depth. Each track presents a facet of the struggle for identity in a steadily declining society. The overarching themes of the album resonate with profound introspection and societal critique. The album delves into the inexorable influence of the past, existential musings, the relentless march of time, and the stark realities of environmental decay. With "Human Error," Crones has expanded their sound and performance to unprecedented heights, infusing each track with intricate arrangements, genre-blending compositions, and an emotional depth that challenges and captivates.
Crones' lineup comprises Nathan Kelly (lead vocals, guitar, main songwriter), Britt Meierhofer (vocals), Chris Dibbens (bass, vocals), Calvin Hilde (keys, guitar), and Landon Hilde (drums). Hailing from Prince George, British Columbia, on the unceded, ancestral territory of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation, the band has enchanted audiences for over 13 years, steadfastly maintaining their original lineup.
"Human Error" will be heralded with a series of electrifying live performances throughout the summer and fall of 2024. This includes appearances at festivals such as Artswells Festival, Terrace Farm Fest, Crossroads Street Festival, and [REDACTED] Festival.
