"The Space Freighter Aetheris drifts beyond the last marked sectors, into the gaps where cartographers gave up. Out here, the stars thin out, and the silence feels heavier. When they find the structures suspended in space, it’s almost by accident—monoliths, carved and polished, drifting in a system that shouldn't exist.
Massive, seamless, and unmarked, they rise out of the void, absorbing light, swallowing signals. Against better judgment, the crew goes inside. The interiors are vast halls of smooth stone, but the halls are lifeless and abandoned. No dust. No decay. Just cold corridors running off into the dark.
Nothing reacts. Nothing watches. But the crew feels it anyway—the weight of the place, like stepping into a cathedral not built for their kind..."
