(I've decided to not do individual track writeups for this one and instead just briefly discuss this LP as a whole.
This was made in a little under a month in Audacity mostly with refigured screen recordings from YouTube of the oldest or most idiosyncratic model of 70s and early 80s synth/electronic rig I could find, as well as some Casiotone stuff, some original in-browser tracker improvisations, some cassette and VHS vocal music and artifacting sources.
The product of a very intense friendship in which I was briefly re-engaged quite seriously with older 'hypnagogic pop' type concerns.
It's difficult to put into words the emotional/personal determinants behind the music, especially since it was recorded in such a flurry, other than the workplace situation was exceptionally difficult, and it felt like the succeeding year went by in a blur. I suppose I was listening to lots of Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide, Internet Club, early 0PN and Sky Limousine.
I was deeply depressed for the first time in a while, with not much of a good reason to pin that on. It was the first time in such a depression that I was able to 'reason through it', or experience it at some kind of remove.
Ah, well.)
