Dan composed "Dream" on October 31, 1978, after "Tranquility" had disbanded and he had been performing as a solo artist for six months. The song summarized the theology and musical aspirations Dan had been cultivating in his ministry. Based on Ephesians chapter 2 and the Book of Romans, and played in a fluid jazz style, "Dream" asks whether the price Jesus paid for our salvation was good enough for us - for if we are saved by Grace, and salvation is what we dream for, then can we accept that which makes our dreams come true?

Featuring Dave Williamson's tenor sax fills, a piccolo bass solo by Gunnar Biggs, Fred Petry on drums and vibes, guitar fills by Alan Pierce, and some of the tastiest acoustic piano riffs by Butch Lacy, Dan's melody and chord progressions are lifted to new heights in Christian music. And the best part is that, except for the basic song structure, everything you hear was improvised on-the-fly.

Dan has played guitar since age 8, turning pro at age 16, and is a session player. He was the lead singer/songwriter for Tranquility, which toured the world in the mid-70s. Since then, he has played with/for many top artists.

Currently in retirement from his "real job," Dan continues to produce and record music from his home studio, and collaborate with other musicians.
