Dawoud "the Renegade Sufi" Kringle channels the flow of music on his dautar (a sitar-guitar-cello hybrid). Listeners claim his compositions and improvisations sound like “that moment when the beings of Mount Olympus allowed us to hear their chief musician.” But that’s just content for tourists. The real ecstasy happens in the silence between his notes.
