i don’t know if it’s something about everybody else
or something’s up with me
i think that this year i might be by myself
and that’s gonna get really lonely

everyone tells me i think way to much
about how i’ll be perceived
but there’s an itch on my brain that reminds me all day
to exist without thinking

i feel so small compared to you all
so fun and outgoing
i wanna blend into the background, not make a single sound
but sometimes i love being seen

i’m the kind of person who tries a smaller role
but hopes to get the lead
i look like i don’t care about anything at all
but there’s a whole world inside of me

making up scenarios knowing it’ll never go
the way i hope it’ll be
a teenage mess sitting at home in my room alone
but that’s how i want it to be

i’m happier than i seem
