Gipsy Passion by De Piotto’s

De Piotto's is the oldest and best-known Gipsy band of the Benelux. All the musicians on this album are members of the same family Limberger.

Father Piotto Limberger was a talented violinist who created the band under his name. Nowadays, the Piottos are led by his four sons, Jan, Storro, Vivi, and Biske. Even a second generation of his grandchildren, Martin and Tcha, are joining the group on stage and on this album.

The producer and guest on this album is their nephew Fappy Laffertin who is famous as the leader of his band Waso.

If you want Gipsy Swing Jazz or Gipsy Balkan Music you can find it on this album. Just a lot of Gipsy Passion. If they play a swinging version of ‘On The Sunny Side Of The Street’ or a very melancholic ‘Hungarian Melody’ it’s always ‘Gipsy Passion’.
