Tariqat by Desert Rose

Tariqat – The Path, was officially released on 15 December 2012. The music has been described as groundbreaking, combining ancient Sufi chants and diwans with indigenous African sounds and rhythms. Composer, Lynne, and lead vocalist, Yusuf, combines the singer’s Malaysian routes and inherited Malay melodies with classical compositions and haunting Arabic vocals. Since the release of the album Desert Rose has successfully toured and performed the music of Tariqat live to standing ovations on stages in London, Oxford, Singapore, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Morocco, France, Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, India, Brazil and the USA.
