Escapism is about avoiding this meaningless and empty lifestyle that we live in. We are forced to live by the rules society made for us, doing pointless and uninteresting things we don't want to do, only to continue living the way we don't want, buying things that we don't need, consuming meaningless and utterly stupid information, following trends that are pushed upon us.
Some of us want to escape all of that. We have the tendency to seek distraction and relief from these unpleasant realities in art, nature and loneliness...
