Close by Route 94
Route 94's latest musical offering 'Close' illustrates his dedication to his craft and ever-evolving style. Following huge commercial success with records such as 'My Love' (featuring Jess Glynne) and underground anthem 'House & Pressure' on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations, this new three-track EP shows Route 94 returning to his club roots by exploring minimalist influences. Steeped in dark, bass-led energy, the triptych of melodic and atmospheric cuts makes a blissful re-introduction to Route 94's sound. Opening the release with the rolling title track 'Close', it transitions into the hazier 'Harder' with its rubbery, squelching bassline, finally the intergalactic goodness of 'Feels' rounds off the release. The otherworldly sounds of this sublime EP illustrate the emotive powers of carefully crafted club records, with all three tracks on this EP destined to do far more than just fill the floor.
