Cicadidae Phantasm by Ñakyrã Pochy

Ñakyrã Pochy (translated from guaraní as "Angry Cicada") presents their debut release following an appearance in the Bitter Seeds compilation. In line with that contribution, this mini album offers a lighter variation on a shimmering, oneiric minimal wave sound with just enough murk to fit in the lab's sonic universe.
Akin to Robert Turman's "Way Down", Werkbund and Cabaret Voltaire's skeletal proto-industrial rhythms; all filtered through cicadas reincarnated as angels and ghosts, transmitting melodic sleep signals across cracked satellite dishes and irradiated dew.
