Home Alone by Dirty Bungalow
2020 was the year in which we were all locked inside, forced by a pandemic to find the answers to our problems inside our own four walls. Dirty Bungalow, the alter ego of producer António Almeida, was no exception to this rule and he now invites us to listen to ‘Home Alone’, an album of original songs resulting from the isolation that was imposed this year, having spent hours researching the samples with which he built this collection of lo-fi and classic sounding beats, celebrating soul, jazz and black music from past decades.
‘Home Alone’ is the soundtrack to the answer to a global crisis, with its eyes set in the future but looking to the past for sonic and aesthetic references, creating an unmistakeable collection of beats where we can also listen to the vocal participations of Logos (Conjunto Corona), PZ and Carlos, as well as the keyboards of Minus and Mr. Dolly.
