Soul & Salvation captures Gillespie in a slamming funk-soul groove alongside such notable players as Joe Newman, Benny Powell, Cornell Dupree, Eddie Pazant, and Grammy Award-winning saxman James Moody. Out of print for over 15 years in any format, and unavailable on vinyl domestically for nearly half a century, Soul & Salvation is now set to make its return. The album will be available on CD, download, and 180-gram vinyl. The 10-track set feature charts and compositions from noted musician/filmmaker Ed Bland who co-produced the original sessions in 1969.
