2024 by DJ Shades

2024 I officially made my return to music. I had spent roughly 3 years lost and not connected with music. I couldn't make anything. I couldn't finish anything. I couldn't even open up my MacBook and feel solid about my work. I guess time really does heal all, because I feel like I'm on a completely different mode than I ever was before. The confidence is up. My drive is up. My creativity is up. My persistence is up. 2024 I remembered why I love music. I remembered why I ever became a fan of it at all. It gave me peace. It gave me a way to express myself. It connected me to something that nothing else in this life will ever compare to. I'm far from where I want to be in my music career, but I'm where I need to be now to get to where I'm going in the future.

This compilation of music is everything I released in 2024. Mostly edits. It's my way of easing my way back into music. It's also my favorite type of production to do that's allowed me to achieve some pretty cool accomplishments and recognition over the years (like getting played on BBC Radio 1XTRA).

In total I released 14 tracks.... but I made much.. much more than that. As a special treat, this compilation album features 6 bonus tracks that have only been heard at my shows these past few months. One of them being an extended and revised version of my Nasty remix, and the rest being new edits. I won't be releasing these edits anywhere else but Bandcamp for the first week!!!!! So this is my treat to you, my supporters!

Thank you so much for making 2024 such an awesome and welcoming year for me. To everyone that's bought the music, listened, come to a show, followed on my socials, liked a post, commented on a post, sent a DM, featured me on a lineup, featured my tracks in your set, and have gave kind (and negative) words in person, thank you for making 2024 a year I will always cherish.
