Remedy by Don Kapot

A lifeboat of free jazz, afrobeat and kraut punk sailed by Giotis Damianidis (bass), Viktor Perdieus (baritone saxophone) and Jakob Warmenbol (drums), ‘Remedy’ is the first in a series of three EPs to be released over the coming months and follows the release of their critically acclaimed album ‘I Love Tempo’ in 2023 which received support from media including Mojo and BBC Radio 6 Music.

Having spent three days in the studio earlier this year, the resulting tracks showcase Don Kapot’s love of using a wide range of instruments including bass, drums and tenor saxophone, evolving their sound into a solid complex rhythmic wave against a Death Grips-style hip-hop backdrop and demented samples.
