Circling EP by Downhill
This is our first EP, recorded and produced by Downhill in 2019 with the kind help of Alexander Bernard at Hummus Records for the drums.
After many years, we decided to record our oldest songs written back in 2013 at Downhill's inception. The EP features two of our earliest tracks: Circling, a slow and ambiant prog rock song about finding one's own faith and Victoria, a more straightforward rock song that evolves into heavy/thrash chaos as it tells the tragic story of a mourning lover who falls into insanity. The two tracks are separated by a soft interlude titled Aphasia.
These songs emphasize what was once our trademark sound. As Downhill's music has evolved into a more complex blend of influences and genres, this EP is our testimony to our "old band" in order to move on with a future full-length album.

Downhill is a Progressive Metal band from Lausanne, Switzerland, formed in 2013.
After a one year hiatus in 2014-2015 and a line-up change, Downhill began to play live shows in the Lausanne area from 2018 onwards.
Downhill's music has evolved from a simple blend of prog/thrash/heavy into a more complex sound influenced by modern Prog and Post Metal bands.
