''Miðnótt'' means midnight in old norse. Witness a group of pagans, calling spirits, abiding in a strong, calm state of mind during midnight, when the moon is out.
The big shamanic drums were recorded very close to the mic to capture the extremely deep and transcendant sub bass tones.
Featured instruments are jaw harp, bullroarer, shamanic circular breathing chants, throat singing, shell shaker, goat toes rattle, bones, torch, three 24 inch shaman drums, one 18 inch shaman drum, and a clay drum (reconstruction of a drum found in Sweden dating to the late bronze age).
Some inspiration was also drawn from Jesper Kyd's soundtrack work for AC: Valhalla and Einar Selvik's soundtrack work for the Wrath of the Druids DLC.
