Bazooka Jane by Dr. Pants

Jane was a composer with exotic taste
Strange timbres she tended to embrace
She entered into her high school talent show
And set up loudspeakers to intentionally blow
The resulting noise was anything but soft
Sounded like a really large weapon going off
They called her Bazooka Jane every day after that
She named her piece "Detonation in E Flat"

Bazooka Jane, well, she's got a noisy jones
For ugly waveforms and aggressive tones
Her sound might be difficult to appreciate
But she's got peculiar ways to make the air vibrate

Later on at music school, they tried to tame her vibe
She wrote a few things on the softer side
For all those so-called "normal" instruments
She tried but couldn't hide her fierce ambivalence
So Jane, she wrote a duet to satisfy her jones
For electric chainsaw and a sousaphone
The piece, it was given a rapturous reception
Expanding every listener's musical perception

True artistry, it knows no rules
It's not always friendly, not always cool
If it don't look or sound how you prefer
That don't mean it won't endure
What things are now ain't what things were
