Home from OXYMORON by Ditto

As the final track on OXYMORON EP. Ditto looks back on the process of how “Home” came to life. As the artist recalls, his life was full of triumphs and defeats, “Defeats that would make you think twice about waking up and getting out of your bed.”

Home is an homage to the past life of the artist that was ripped out like a band-aid on a fresh wound. Ditto shares that the pandemic brought about myriad change to the artist’s life and reflects in the music.

The finale of this tape, Home, I talk a lot about moving out of my childhood home in Cubao. I was born and raised in the north and moved to the south in the height of the pandemic just before the holidays in 2020. This was a big shift in my life, I only hoped to come into peaceful terms with a lot of the things I struggle to express and hopefully learn to accept them as I go on.
