Oh those magical folk of tales, the courts of all those fickle faerie,
the shape shifting state actors, living the land of make believe;
perhaps a few are lizard aliens, or just cabal of ruling class,
all living legend characters both eloquent and brash -
they weave their magic words to the public and orate a mesmerizing spell,
and live in shadow councils and do what no one can ever tell.
Relating to us simple folk of ghosts and spooks all about,
of all the unseen fears to children, safety, & liberty - watch out.

With charms to stop;
the ignorance as the cellphone in all our hands,
as Palantir watches us and the unsocial media demands
To sell our attention to the many techno wizards risen through the land,
taking us on some journey I'm sure we never planned.
Our folklore is piecing together of the narrative that we can tell,
and wade the mire to draw truth from the wishful well;
as the superstition of the living strawman, the very character of scarecrow -
we should cut him down, look around, and choose the way we better know,
