Ekthelion began formally in the fall of 2013 with Angel Sánchez, Rogelio Pascual and Christian Zavala. The project was meant only to participate in a music contest in their university in Puebla, Mexico. After 6 years of composing, a tour opening for notable bands of the mexican metal scene and the inclusion of Charles Kaus, they are releasing their first album "Bariogénesis" on January 2019
