After years spent raising a family, maintaining a home and working hard as a community support worker I returned from a long hiatus from music making (inspired in equal measure by Aphex Twin's creativity and David Blaine's feats of endurance) and set a challenge to myself to make 50 tracks in 100 days.
All tracks were done live in one-take in an "against-the-clock" fashion (i.e a 20-30 minute window) and mosty consist of simple 64-step, 4-bar loop "automatic writing" jams using the Digitakt sampler/drum machine to sequence various hardware synths (AFX Station, Microfreak, 0-Coast, Volca FM) usually after I completed a night shift at work.
Some tracks made with Eurorack Modular Synthesizer and some with iOS apps.
Direct lo-fi (no-fi) live open-air recording via a cell phone placed near speakers - the goal was to have fun while re-learning electronic gear.
