This specific 10-track album contains various types of songs, as does every album of Elias of Venus, however the cover art depicts a (supposedly) transgender anarchist woman, who, being almost as marginalised as can, is struggling to grasp for survival, no matter her circumstances, since what else can she do? Die in this moment, when it's exactly what the owning class wants? No, her anarchist self, despite being extremely emaciated, having had an arm amputated, heart being vulnerable for attack despite her supposed armor of "law & order", having 1 eye left, yet bleeding, she is trying to survive, even almost being at the point of being buried alive. Despite the sickly state, she is a true warrior. As is anyone so marginalised and seemingly 'defeated' by the system. The album sends a message of resistance, completed by existence. Never let them think you are no one!
As the cover art suggests, this album contains songs about political unrest, current horrific struggles the world, especially in certain regions, experiences, and just a swing of back and forth optimism... Realism... Pessimism... Nihlism... Absurdism... Just so many philosophical swings, that you don't realise where Elias of Venus stands. Maybe that's the actual point, I may add. Elias stands in each of these sectors for different reasons, yet different circumstances. It's unclear whether Elias is religious or antireligious. Especially because of the paradox of the album's name and the outro song. Numb & Godless ... March of the Goddess? Yes. And it takes strength to understand this view. Just like "Artificial" and "Die in this Moment"... We have no choice. But we must resist to have a choice. What in the hell does it mean? So sit down. And listen to the album, and come to a conclusion yourself. Elias's music is not only art, but a philosophical riddle. It's easy to listen to, but hard to grasp.
