Interloper has been years in the making. It started back in 2018 when Goldie invited me to do a few releases for Metalheadz, but over time it became its own thing — a record shaped by wherever I was, whatever I was thinking, and the way my sound has evolved along the way.
I’ve always been drawn to music that carries a quiet tension, something that creeps in slowly and sticks. That’s what Interloper is: brooding, detailed, and precise. It doesn’t hit you all at once — it unfolds if you’re paying attention.
I’ve never really followed trends or cared about social media; I’ve just tried to make music that feels right to me. Growing up in Cardiff, away from London’s scene, I learned mostly by listening, digging through record shops, and trusting my gut. That independence shows up in the sound: club-ready but not confined, detailed but raw.
The album covers a lot of ground — distorted textures, layered atmospheres, subtle samples — but there’s a single thread: a restless, looming tension that moves through every track, from the driving Ganzfeld to the hazy Skeng.
The title Interloper says a lot about how I see myself in the scene: present, shaping things quietly, but never really in the spotlight. I like letting the music speak for itself.
At the end of the day, this record is just about showing up and doing the work. No ego, no flash — just music I’ve poured myself into, and hopefully, something listeners can feel as deeply as I do.
