Nightshade by Emile

I recorded these tracks as a live session for Shindig Magazine in June 2020. Playing my album 'The Black Spider / Det Kollektive Selvmord' in its entirety. The video of the full live performance can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csH2345NR88

I ended up really liking the way that the more ‘raw’ live sessions complemented the album versions of the songs. They gave a different view of the compositions. A more raw, immediate feel. Full of imperfections.

Guitar and vocals were recorded live in a single take, but I added. some synths and electric keyboards later on. Primarily to the songs from the b-side of the album. These dubs were played with live setting in mind. Recorded in a few full takes, retaining all the strangeness and quirks that would normally come out in a concert.

I have remixed and remastered the recordings, and uploaded them the highest possible quality to Bandcamp. The mixes are created with a more live / cinematic experience in mind. Not for the faint of heart.
