Sparsity by Endless Idiot
There's a tiny old church just the other side of the river from where I live. It's empty 99% of the time. My favourite musical moment from the last few years might be the short time I spent there with a harmonica one sunny morning, by myself, enjoying the echoes and the cool light filtering in the windows.
That's where I took the cover photo, and I've recreated the echoes in many of the tracks. But there's no harmonica on Sparsity, still less tambourine. There are, though, bells. And slide guitar. And a weird kind of comfort drawn from the thought that everything really is vanity, and that that's actually okay.
