Ra by Eris and Dysnomia

An aural exploration and interpretation of various facets of the ancient Egyptian god Ra:

1. The Ram Of The West Rules From The Mesektet - During the night hours Ra took a ram-headed form and sailed across underworld in a solar boat called the Mesektet.

2. The Falcon On The Edge Of The Duat - During the day hours Ra would sail across the sky in his solar boat called the Mandjet, until his eventual reentry into the Duat (the underworld) when night came.

3. The Falling Tears Of Creation - Ra wept, and from his tears came man.

4. The Glorious Emergence Of The Mandjet - When dawn broke, Ra would emerge from the Duat (the underworld) to sail across the sky in his solar boat called the Mandjet.

5. The Blood Transformations Of Hu And Sia - Ra cut himself, and his blood transformed into two intellectual personifications: Hu, or authority, and Sia, or mind.

Eris and Dysnomia is an experimental dark ambient collaboration between American artist G M Slater (Occurrences in Rain, The Elderbranch Campaign, 12 Frozen Radios) and Norwegian artist Gjøran Sæther (Proteque, Sinister Sister).
