Remain, Remain by Erk

Out of some lonely and dark days, here are some fun songs, melancholy songs, angry songs, and even some goofy ones, all seeming to circulate around rain. As always, hope you enjoy.

A poem:

disgust came up
to me in
worn overcoat, permafrost
over heart from the snow, always
snow,
and bitter,
as a kid I would stuff
white clumps
in my tiny pink
mouth, just not
the yellow,
but yellowed my teeth in tar
became
but here there was brown too, and
gray, and black
snow, scraped into cold mounds,
packed in by wheels,
as just as tightly
my jaw
clamps my
tooth ache
terribly shut but I am
still
force-fed
this sight into each eyeball,

I am okay,
it is the wind
on my cornea
causing tears to crawl;
a-okay, any sadness
you might find
has been packed, like the dead
mounds, in snow and
salted sidewalk,

for later;
my desk;
my wine;
my window to
the dark
too dark
for all,
but reflection.
