Lebanon's "Electronica Giant" (Joe Muggs, Bandcamp Daily) releases his new single "Idol", a sonic appetizer foreshadowing his upcoming album whichwill be released in 2025.
With dreamy yet ominous textures, "Idol" is a somber reflection on a year's worth of war, loss and uncertainty, the second (war) the artist has experienced and survived in his lifetime, reflecting on the complete inability to escape the outside forces shaping our dark reality, loss of agency and identity.
With its haunting melody, "Idol" is emotional, mournful and yet a cathartic battle cry signaling hope for a better future.
