Consec by Deathcount In Silicon Valley

Cosmic synth-wrangler Andrew Nixon follows up his 2015 Extreme Ultimate debut 'Acheron' with a 6-track homage to everybody's favourite film about psychic warfare, Scanners. 'Consec' treads a more rhythmic path than it's ambient predecessor, with Nixon's trademark analogue drones and squeals tempered by skeletal rhythms and motorik pulsations. Though the sound is undoubtedly indebted to the synth masters of the 70s, Nixon breathes a contemporary vitality into his music, giving the album a vital and laser-focused propulsion.
