Fly United by Fairyport Convent

The surprise 8th EP from Fairyport Convent is here! We start off "Fly United" in our usual style, with a science-fiction tale called "Ultraviolet Mouth". Utopia or dystopia? It is for you to decide! "Celestial Lady of the Stratosphere" follows with a heavy electroacoustic riff and a tale of love of the Earth goddess across time and space. The title track, "Fly United", is a song I wrote in the Górczyn high rise back in the summer of 2002, but recorded it only recently. "Autoludy" dedicated to Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk is the first electronic song ever on a Fairyport Convent release. The Polish lyrics are about androids that turn people into their servants. The last track, "Sunday", is an easy going acoustic song about the only day in the week when you can be really free. We hope you enjoy this unannounced release (nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!) and wait for the next "regular" EP coming November 1st to the Swamp! We also have a CD upcoming in January. Fairyport Convent is a Polish psychedelic space rock band formed in Poznań in 2021. The band is known for its unique blend of psychedelic rock, space rock, and garage rock, influenced by bands such as Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, and The Stooges. The band's lyrics often explore themes of spirituality, mysticism, and the occult.
