Aries / Elsione by Samuel Powell
Samuel Powell is a young electronic producer/DJ residing in Kildare, Ireland. Having introduced himself to the UK scene via his 'Owls EP' on the renowned Shall Not Fade last year, Samuel now releases this brilliant A/B side on Part 4.
'Aries' is a beautifully intricate lead, with punchy drums woven through atmospheric synths and rising melodies to a blissful crescendo. A track that reflects Samuel's love for both deep electronica and classical musical genres, with tinges of Jon Hopkins and Max Cooper in the production.
'Elsione' on the flip, is a more club-focused track. Beginning with eerie synths and a driving bassline, the track reveals each of its elements one-by-one, gradually unfolding as an expansive electronic anthem that gives a nod to Samuel's fellow countrymen, Bicep.
