Petrichor / Downpour by Qaett
Petrichor / Downpour is a two track ambient EP inspired by rain.
Petrichor is the smell that is often noticeable on the first rain after a long time of warm, dry weather. This phenomenon is translated into a rich track that slowly develops, revolving around some recurring melodic motifs, recorded in one session with a combination of digital and outboard gear. Downpour captures the feeling of a heavy shower of rain coming down in a blend of field recordings and drones.
Both these tracks will also be part of my upcoming album Landmarks Five.
