Neo House by Fernanda Arrau

The last couple of years have been of endless changes and challenges for Fernanda Arrau. The DJ/producer left her birthplace Santiago, where he had been a key part of the local underground scene for more than a decada, to relocate in Madrid. Here she decided to reset and start over - thus, she founded United Colors of Rhythm, a record label that focus on delivering Latin American talent from the heart of Europe to the world.

Neo House is her third release overall, and not only the first in three years, but also her debut on her own label. On this EP, Fernanda Arrau showcases the current state of her restless quest for sounds. "Here I wanted to share something much more personal, made mainly from intuition and looking to create something timeless, not worrying about current trends. There are things that obviously will always be there in my music - that fusion of experimental sounds with pop, house and latin rhythms. I put all of that in a blender and I'm thrilled with the outcome", says the Chilean.

Neo House has four original songs that blend singular pads, arpeggios and leads with thumping basslines, gifting four useful club tools for different moments of the night. The collection is completed by her acclaimed fellow Chilean Alejandro Paz, who adds fuel and urgency to "Fuji" with his very own version.

Also accompanying this release is the visual artist from N.Y Pete Ford, who was in charge of giving life to the video clip of the first single "Deep Cut" as well as the cover of this EP.

This is United Colors of Rhythm second release, after making an assured entrance with a Various Artists compilation last November, including tracks sent from Chile, Mexico and Argentina, in what has been presented as an effort that looks to increase the little visibility that Latin based electronic music has in Europe. This 2019 will be busy for the label - with upcoming releases and more collaborations with visual artists, which will make each something unique in its own right.

Fernanda Arrau is a Chilean-born DJ and producer based in Madrid. She has
been part of the Latin American electronic scene for years, but her name has
recently begun to expand in the international scene. With an extensive career,
she has released on renowned labels such as Permanent Vacation, Shall Not
Fade, Peach Discs, Pets Recordings among others.
