I still think this is the best EP I ever made. But I do regret that when I made it, I was still in my, "I don't care about sound design—I grew up on lo-fi indie rock like Pavement"-mode. So, this is all to say, the way the bongo/conga-like percussion sounds on "Cloud 2" can bug me when listening sometimes. I can't remember if those sounds were made with MFB 522 samples played via a Korg Volca Sample I had at the time, or maybe the Korg Volca Beats with the Electro-Harmonix Pitchfork Pedal, or something else entirely...? Anyhoo, while I'm rambling about instruments and gear I used to have: I really miss the wood finished Japanese Fender Jazz Bass used on this recording.
I make music that I want to listen to myself. Some people that are not me have been known to like it too. If you turn out to be one of them, then that's cool beans. ♡
