Broke(n) by Flower Crown Me A Queen

This is an album about broken things; broken bodies, broken minds, broken economic and social systems.

Touching upon topics such as chronic pain and disability, experiencing auditory and visual hallucinations while sober, societal perceptions of one's gender, and the pervasiveness of capitalism in every aspect of our lives, this album is both personal and relatable, a danceable protest, a fuck you with a smile.

Capitalism continues to wreak havoc on our minds and bodies while stripping away resources and land from Indigenous peoples, and at the same time enabling fascism to dig their heels into our social consciousness to excuse locking children away in death camps and shooting Black people in the street and in their homes.

This needs to change. We need something different.

Recorded all by ourselves in a garage and Dahlia's room, this is the first proper "full electric band" recording project that Flower Crown Me A Queen has produced, and we are incredibly proud of this album. We hope that you have as much fun listening to it as we did making it <3
