TOMORROW - I heard you called last Saturday. And “I’m in,” you said. For lipstick-stained stairwell memories? And I’m in, but let’s not and say we did. Why wait until tomorrow if it’s never gonna come? You walk alone. ‘Cause my heart and my head and these hands are never gonna come. You walk alone. I heard you called last Saturday just to say that you’ve been missing me. Your tears could fall in tidal waves enough to drown everyone in Japan and I wouldn’t care. If you meant what you said, then why was it in my bed? If you meant what you said, then we’re dead. (Say it like you mean it) These bags under my eyes must make me look so old, but wisdom has it’s own trajectory, or so I’m told. And I don’t feel the need to have another damn conversation about this when I know and you know that it won’t do any good. And severing the misery- (to be) completely without it means you’ll have to be completely without me.
