Written over two years between Dublin and Barcelona, fabric showcases FOZSA’s signature sonic palette of layered dreamy textures and driving beats, with a shift towards more dance, house, and electronica-oriented sounds.

The album features previously released singles ‘droplets,’ ‘home,’ and ‘bloom’. Spanning 39 minutes across 10 tracks, fabric explores themes of memory, belonging, and connection to people and place, reflecting the dizzying sense of displacement felt after moving away from home.

“fabric began in Dublin and followed me as I moved to Barcelona halfway through the writing process. Although not a exactly concept album, the writing process became a way to express the melancholy I felt moving away from friends, family, and home. Through building these songs, It let me to explore my sense of belonging, to both places and people’.
The album opens with ‘in the beginning,’ which features a snippet of conversation with Luke’s grandfather, Tom, recalling memories of growing up in Rosses Point, Sligo. ‘The tone of his voice when talking about the place he grew up has a warm romantic nostalgia that mirrors the emotions I was trying to capture through the music."
‘Throughout my studies in Architecture the word ‘fabric’ was often used to describe things that are sometimes immaterial; connections between people and place. In the context of this album, I took the word to represent my connections to these things—no longer physical but instead expressed through the textures and atmospheres I was building into the songs."
