Oh yeah! You feel like a king, it's a beautiful day, a window of opportunity has suddenly opened your eyes to the charms of the world and more importantly the brand new Papaye album is in your hand kiddo!!
It's called «Tennis». The french trio delivers an impressive 13-track collection ranging from sweet/sour melodies and inspired passing shots to full out spoken rock'n roll riffs going bananas.
Fooling around with the 60's sub genres (Surf, Doo-Wop, Sunshine Pop), blending it with their main influences : the Deerhoof family (C.Cohen, Natural Dreamers, Gorge Trio...) and many eccentrics (Beefheart, US Maple...). Two guitars, drums, a choir, trumpet and a dog; Papaye has matured in superb fashion, more attractive than ever.
